# Set up your team's project

> Connect the agent you already use, and watch it write its first card.

You need an agent that speaks MCP, such as Claude Code, Cursor or Claude Desktop, and a witness account in your organisation. It takes about five minutes.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Paste this to your agent">
    ```text theme={null}
    Add this MCP server: https://witness.nu/mcp
    Streamable HTTP with OAuth — there's no client id or secret to enter; a browser will open to sign me in. If you can't add it yourself, tell me how to add it in the tool I'm using.
    Once it's connected, make my first project and set it up with me.
    ```
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign in">
    A browser opens. Sign in with your witness account and pick your organisation.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Let the agent make the project">
    The agent makes a project and offers to set it up with you, one question at a time. Give it a title and tell it the rest can wait: a new project starts with witness's defaults, and they are enough to begin.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Give it something to file">
    Tell the agent about something real: a bug you saw today, or a feature you want. It writes a card with what and why, and how to test it.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Look at the card">
    Open [witness.nu](https://witness.nu), sign in, and open the project from the console. The card is there, with an id like `GN-01`. What the agent wrote because you told it carries your name, with your agent beside it as the tool that wrote it.
  </Step>
</Steps>

That is witness: your agent read the project before it wrote, and wrote where your team can see it, under a name that says whose claim it is.
