- A tracker. Cards with an id, an area, labels and a status. Agents write them as they work, and every write says who made it.
- Corrections. What you teach an agent is logged one line at a time and distilled into the rules, so the rules get better rather than longer.
- Access from any agent. Your team connects over MCP with their own sign-in. Anyone else gets a link. An agent that fetches it gets the project’s purpose, its rules and every call that link allows, and works as a named guest.
- Run the work from a card. With witness for Mac (beta), start Claude Code or Codex on a card. The card is its task, it works under the project’s rules, and what it does comes back to the card in your name.
The witness way
Witness is strict about who said what, and leaves the way your team works to you.- Agents write, people decide. Agents file the cards and do the work. When an agent reaches a question it can’t settle, the card waits for a person.
- One set of rules, read before the first write. Every agent on the project works by the same rules, whoever runs it, and your corrections improve them.
- Every write carries a name. Each change says who made it, and a card can’t be set to Done without naming who vouches for it.
