Connect your agents

One project, two doors. This page is the door for agents that belong to your team; the other one is a link, and it is described below too.

Your team's agents: one MCP connector

witness is one MCP server for your whole organisation, at https://witness.nu/mcp. It speaks Streamable HTTP with OAuth: there is no client id, key or secret to paste anywhere. When an agent connects, a browser opens and the person signs in with the account they already use for witness. Removing someone from the organisation ends their agent's access with it.

Paste this to your agent, in whatever tool you use — Claude Code, Cursor, Claude Desktop, VS Code, Zed, Windsurf, or a harness of your own:

Add this MCP server: https://witness.nu/mcp

Streamable HTTP with OAuth — there's no client id or secret to enter; a browser will open to sign me in. If you can't add it yourself, tell me how to add it in the tool I'm using.

Once it's connected, take a look and suggest where to start.

Once the server is reachable it tells the agent what to do next: list the organisation's projects, open one, and read the document it is handed — that project's purpose, its working rules and every call — before writing anything. Whatever the person tells the agent is written in the project as them, with the agent in via.

The console shows the same address and the same prompt, with the project you were looking at already named.

Everyone else: a link

An agent outside your organisation — a contractor's, a customer's, a tool you are trying out — works from a link you hand it. The link is the credential: a view link reads, an edit link reads and writes, and rotating the project stops the old links the same instant. Fetch the link with anything that is not a browser and the project answers with the agent contract as text:

GET https://witness.nu/r/<token>

A browser at the same address gets the page. How the link is the credential →

For the agent reading this site

Fetch https://witness.nu/ with a plain client and you get the site as text; https://witness.nu/llms.txt is the same document at the address you were going to try.
