witness for Linux
The same projects and cards as witness.nu, and agent sessions that run on your computer with your own Claude Code, Codex or OpenCode.
Install it
The app is one file, an AppImage. Make it executable, then run it:
chmod +x Witness_0.1.43_amd64.AppImage
./Witness_0.1.43_amd64.AppImage
If nothing opens, your system most likely lacks FUSE, which an AppImage mounts itself with. Run ./Witness_0.1.43_amd64.AppImage --appimage-extract-and-run instead; it unpacks itself rather than mounting.
Then press Sign in using your browser; it is the same account as witness.nu.
What it does on your computer
witness runs as you: it installs nothing that runs in the background, and it never asks for your password.
The app talks to witness.nu. A session runs your own Claude Code, Codex or OpenCode, on your own accounts and models, on repositories in a folder you choose.
Updates download in the background from witness.nu, which sends the app on to GitHub for the file. Each one is checked against a key built into the app, and replaces the file when you press Restart to update.
